Memorandai Announces Press Release and Blog Writing Features in Version 0.8.9

New AI writing tools help creators and small businesses turn local knowledge, source material, and structured prompts into professional announcements and blog content

PORTLAND, OR — May 19, 2026 — Memorandai, the local-first AI Knowledge Studio built around user-owned data, multi-model workflows, and anti-lock-in principles, today announced the release of dedicated Press Release and Blog writing features in version 0.8.9. The new tools are designed to help individual creators, founders, and small businesses produce polished, context-aware written assets using their own knowledge base, imported source material, and customizable writing workflows.

The update expands Memorandai’s role as a desktop studio for accumulated knowledge, where users can bring in data ranging from documents and notes to imported chats from major AI providers like OpenAI and Anthropic, then organize, synthesize, and work with that information across multiple AI models. With version 0.8.9, users can now apply that context directly to two common publishing needs: professional press releases and search-optimized blog posts.

“As with most of Memorandai’s functionality, the Press Release and Blog writing features exist because I needed them myself; this press release, for example, was created using that system. The aim is to make it easy for individual creators and small businesses to draft context-aware press releases and blogs in professional, optimized formats — without engaging costly firms, or requiring years of SEO and PR training,” said Gary Smith, Founder of Memorandai.

The Press Release feature supports structured announcement creation, including release framing, organization profile details, source material, approved quotations, and publication-ready formatting. The Blog writing feature supports long-form content development with customization options that can incorporate topical direction, keyword strategy, and supporting context from the user’s own data. Its core architecture draws from over a decade of professional search optimization experience, distilled from Smith’s own background directing SEO strategy for major franchise brands at Zbra Studios, an award-winning boutique agency.

“Memorandai’s new AI writing features can be accessed in a dedicated section, with deep customization options relevant to each type of writing, exposed dynamically. In blogs, for example, a Semrush API key can be added to integrate data-backed keyword targeting, while a press release can be started with a Q&A session relevant to the brief. This adds further context and creates pull-quotes — like the one I’m writing right now — that the LLM can then weave into the body of the content,” said Smith.

In addition to drafting or refining the post with AI, users can manually edit the post themselves, or ask Helios — Memorandai’s hybrid AI identity layer and in-app helper — for feedback and targeted suggestions or changes directly through the app’s interface.

Memorandai version 0.8.9 is available now for users seeking a local-first, multi-model workspace for knowledge, memory, and AI-assisted creation.
