Download Memorandai

Local-first knowledge studio for Windows and macOS. Signed and notarized on both platforms. We operate no servers; what reaches a cloud provider travels directly from your machine to theirs.

Latest release

Version 0.9.6

Released 2026-06-13

A reflective Journal, optional model thinking, Helios-built scheduled tasks, and right-click spell-check
  • New: Journal — a reflective journal your AI partner keeps in the Agent Hub, recording what working sessions were like, not just what got done. Each entry is tagged with the model that wrote it, and is written by the AI itself via the /journal skill in Claude Code or any connected AI client.
  • New: see the model's thinking — an optional per-provider setting (API Providers) shows Claude's summarized reasoning above its reply, both in the Helios chat and on Claude replies in the Flows canvas.
  • Helios builds your scheduled tasks — describe what you want in plain language in the Helios chat and it writes, edits, and schedules the task for you. Tasks can now run through a cloud model, not only a local one.
  • Global Helios chat opens on startup by default (toggle in Settings → Helios), so your AI companion is one glance away — and it now fails honestly, retrying or saying so plainly when a model can't answer instead of going silent.
  • Right-click spell-check — misspelled words now offer correction suggestions and add-to-dictionary, everywhere you type.
  • Polish — adjust inline images after placing them (hover to swap, remove, or copy/save) in Content Writing and the Notebook; the recommended local models were refreshed to the current open-weights generation (Qwen 3.5, Gemma 4).

Installing

Windows

  1. 1 Close Memorandai if it's already running (right-click the tray icon or use File → Quit).
  2. 2 Double-click the downloaded installer. Windows may show a UAC prompt — the installer is signed with our Azure Trusted Signing certificate, so SmartScreen will be muted.
  3. 3 The installer runs silently (~2 seconds). Memorandai launches automatically when done.

Upgrading from a prior version keeps all your data. The installer only replaces the app binaries; your profiles, memories, keystones, and settings at C:\memorandai\users\ are untouched.

macOS

  1. 1 Quit Memorandai if it's already running (⌘Q or right-click the menu-bar icon).
  2. 2 Open the downloaded .dmg and drag Memorandai into your Applications folder.
  3. 3 Launch from Applications or Spotlight. The build is notarized by Apple, so Gatekeeper clears it without the "unidentified developer" dialog.

Upgrading from a prior version keeps all your data. Replacing the app bundle leaves your profiles, memories, and settings at ~/Memorandai/users/ untouched.

Both Apple Silicon (M1+) and Intel (x64) builds are available above — pick the one that matches your Mac. If you're unsure, click the Apple menu → About This Mac and check the "Chip" or "Processor" line.

System requirements

  • Windows 11 (x64), or macOS 11 Big Sur or later (Apple Silicon or Intel)
  • ~500 MB disk space for the app plus room for your knowledge archive
  • Optional: Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, or xAI API key for cloud LLM features; or run a local GGUF model entirely offline
