Accessibility

We're committed to making memorandai.com usable for everyone. This page explains what we've done, what we're still working on, and how you can reach us if you hit a barrier.

Our approach

We aim to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA on the memorandai.com website. WCAG AA is a widely recognized standard for web accessibility; it covers things like color contrast, keyboard navigation, screen-reader compatibility, and meaningful structure.

We are a small, solo-developer operation, so our approach is pragmatic: we prioritize real-world usability over checkbox compliance, and we treat accessibility issues as bugs — things to fix, not features to defer.

What's in place today

  • Semantic HTML with clear heading hierarchy, page landmarks, and navigation regions
  • Descriptive alt text on images and logos
  • Decorative icons marked as hidden from assistive technology so screen readers focus on content, not visual garnish
  • "Skip to main content" link for keyboard users
  • High color contrast throughout the dark theme, aiming to meet WCAG AA for body text
  • Labeled regions on interactive demos (3D Helios sphere, Flows canvas preview)
  • Mobile-responsive layout that reflows cleanly without horizontal scrolling

Known limitations

We want to be honest about where we fall short of full accessibility today:

  • The interactive 3D Helios sphere and the Flows canvas demo on our homepage are fundamentally visual experiences. Each is labeled as a region with a text description for screen readers, but the interactions themselves (rotating, dragging) aren't meaningfully equivalent through keyboard alone. These are illustrative demos, not features you need to use the product — no information is gated behind them.
  • We have not yet conducted a formal third-party audit. Our self-review reflects what we've implemented; a professional audit would surface things we've missed.
  • The Memorandai desktop application itself is a separate product with its own accessibility considerations, not covered by this statement.

Report a barrier

If you encounter an accessibility issue on memorandai.com — something is unreadable, unusable with your assistive technology, or confusingly structured — we want to know. This is the fastest way to get something fixed.

Email us at hello@memorandai.com with the subject line "Accessibility feedback" and include:

  • The page URL where you hit the issue
  • A description of what happened
  • Your browser, operating system, and any assistive technology in use (if comfortable sharing)

We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within a few business days and to fix or provide a workaround as quickly as reasonably possible.
